Internet.org, a Facebook invention that allows free internet browsing through mobile gadgets, has been introduced in Bangladesh
Internet.org and Robi Axiata Ltd. are jointly making the FREE internet available for people in Bangladesh. This is the first time the Internet.org app will be available in the region.
ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, has launched the service at an event with Robi Axiata Limited on Sunday 10 May 2015

Before you get started:
• Insert a Robi SIM card. Internet.org will only work if you are using Robi.
• Turn off Wi-Fi in your phone's settings.
• Turn on mobile data in your phone's settings.
• Don't worry, Internet.org is free so using it won't deduct from your balance.
How To use Internet.org on your mobile phone:
• Click your internet browser icon (it might say Opera or Chrome, or look like a globe).
• At the top in the address box, type in www.internet.org. It may take a few moments to load.
• Choose language and accept the Terms of Service. Now you can use free websites on Internet.org!
How To use the Internet.org Android app:
• In your phone's settings, turn on mobile data or connect to Wi-Fi. Using the app is free once you download it.
• Open the Google Play store from your phone's home screen.
• Search for Internet.org.
• Download the Internet.org app.
• To use the app, make sure mobile data is still turned on.
• Click the Internet.org icon on your home screen.
• Choose language and accept the Terms of Service. Now you can use free websites on Internet.org!
• If you don't want to download the app, you can visit www.internet.org.
How to avoid data charges while use Internet.org on Android ?
• Open your device's main Settings menu.
• Under "Wireless & networks", select Data usage.
• Touch the menu icon
• Make sure "Restrict background data" is checked
• Make sure "Auto-sync data" is unchecked
How to activate a paid internet pack on Internet.org
• Go to the Internet.org website or app
• When you click on external links on any of internet.org websites a pop-up will appear and will give you choice to buy internet packs
• You can also activate internet packs from *8444# or from www.robimynet.com free of charge
For other internet usages can I purchase pack from Internet.org
• Yes user can purchase from same interface or can use existing pack
Is internet.org available for all browsers?
• Internet.org is available for all browsers except for proxy browsers such as UC Web Browser, Skylark
Is Facebook app on my mobile also free of charge?
• Facebook browsing from internet.org is free of charge but the Facebook app is not free

• Currently only android app for internet.org is available which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. To download internet.org APP, standard internet charge apply, activate pack by dialing *8444# or call 8444
How will I know if I am clicking on an external link and will be charged?
• When you click on an external link a pop-up will appear informing you are going to be charged. If you click 'Continue' you will be taken to the next page where you will be given a choice to buy an internet pack, use existing internet pack or browse on pay per use
• This pop-up will still appear even when the subscriber has an existing pack
About internet.org packs
• Internet.org pack can also be used for browsing on other websites
• If subscriber purchase internet.org pack more than once, the volume will accumulate and the validity will increase to the validity of the newly purchased pack
• Internet.org packs can only be purchased through internet.org platform or app. Packs cannot be purchased through USSD or self-care
If I browse the sites of internet.org by writing the URL in the address bar in the browser, will it be free?
• No, the sites of internet.org are only free when subscriber browse on them through internet.org platform or app
Video browsing through internet.org
• Videos are not available through internet.org. On Facebook and Messenger, video upload will not be charged, but download (or watching) is chargeable, however you can purchase internet pack to access video.
How will I know that the pack has been activated?
You will receive a confirmation SMS once the pack has been activated.
How can I check the data balance?
You can check data balance by dialing *8444*88#.
Will the internet.org packs work in 3G & 2G both?
Yes, they will.
Can I activate more than 1 Data pack?
Yes, you can activate more than one data pack. However you can have a maximum of 5 data packs at any one time.
